22.04.2021: Delivery of STM set of CFRP structural sandwich panels and CFRP cleats for PLATO Spacecraft Optical Bench Assembly (OBA)

INASCO HELLAS has successfully completed the manufacturing of the CFRP structural sandwich panels and CFRP cleats for the PLATO Spacecraft OBA STM, and delivered them to Beyond Gravity (former RUAG Space Switzerland) for further Assembly and Integration activities.

This delivery marks a major milestone reached by INASCO HELLAS in manufacturing of advanced Composites structures for the ESA space science mission PLATO (Europe’s Exoplanet hunter).

The production team is currently in the manufacturing phase of the PFM set of the CFRP sandwich panels and cleats, with the objective to deliver them in Q3-2022.

Beyond Gravity is responsible Structure CT Member in the PLATO program. INASCO’s PLATO OBA contract was carried under the PLATO program and it is funded by European Space Agency – ESA.
