JUICE

Feb. 21: INASCO HELLAS has successfully delivered to Airbus Defence and Space SAS (Toulouse) all requested Structures and MGSE’s, in the framework of the JUICE space mission. ADS SAS is the Prime contractor of the JUICE Space mission, the first Large class (L-class) mission in ESA’s Cosmic Vision 2015-2025 program.

All delivered HW and related documentation have been accepted by the customer, and the JUICE SEMS contract is considered successfully concluded!

Specifically, INASCO HELLAS has developed, manufactured and delivered to ADS the following: 

• JUICE S/C Engineering Model (SEMS)
• SEMS Transportation Container
• SEMS MGSE (SEMS lifting device and SEMS Tilting Frame)
• JUICE Optical Bench Integration Stand (OBIS) for integration of sensitive Flight equipment

The JUICE SEMS contract, was a crucial component of the overall JUICE program industrial procurement. The JUICE SEMS was one of the two structures developed in the entire mission, the second one being the Flight Model. Its on-schedule delivery enabled the in-time initiation of the assembly and integration activities. A crucial factor in terms of meeting the overall mission schedule, that plans the launch of the JUICE Spacecraft in 2023.
